Over my past blog posts, I have been vouching for digital marketing, saying its all benefits and no issues, saying it’s the best thing since sliced bread.
The reality is, it is not all like that.
Social media is only as good as the ones who use it, and we aren’t perfect .
In a similar way, with all electronics, once there is a new thing; the old, problematic electronics go to the burner – and there are many issues with social media.
My predictions are that social media as we know it will last a few more years before virtual reality and newer technology (that we cannot eve conceptualise at this time) will take the lead.
You may ask why Teagan??
Well, Social Media puts a lot of pressure on us.
We want to be the people we see on the screen, even if it is unachievable. We want to do the stunts, have the humour, and have the lifestyle that we see. This puts a lot of pressure on us, especially if we fall short which can impact on us negatively.

I anticipate that people will put their social medias on the back burner due to the mental health implications of social media, and we go back to being creative through the use of our hands, or we adopt the newest tech and move forward.
Digital marketing on the other hand is a mean I see only increasing over the next few years. It will show up on our smart fridges, on our electronic taxis, on every new digital invention we have. Lack of paper does not mean lack of substance or lack of marking capabilities. I believe digital marketing will be more interactive and personalised, but also more ethical as our cancel culture is at an all time high and we are expecting more from others.
That’s my two cents, thanks for reading my blog.
